Drafting Technologist

We need an experienced structural steel drafter with specialized knowledge in steel framing systems, foundation coordination, 3D modelling, and construction-ready fabrication and erection drawings.

Location: Etobicoke, ON, M9W 5C8

Work Location: On site

Salary: $36.50 hourly

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Qualifications

  • College program in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
  • 2+ years experience with CAD, Vertex BD, and Advance Steel
  • Ability to create BIM models
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Vertex BD, Advance Steel
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Read blueprints
  • Develop design sketches
  • Prepare costs and material estimates
  • Complete drawing sets
  • Check drawings for errors
  • Create BIM models

Drafting Type: Detailing Drafting

Software: AutoCAD, Vertex BD, Advance Steel, MS Office

Specialization: Construction, Structural Engineering, 3D Modeling
